Replace Sagaris clutch - how much???
Discussion
Ronan,
The C.R gearbox has a very high 1st gear ratio resulting in the need to slip the clutch more in traffic etc.
The standard box option will minimize clutch wear and provided you don't side step
the clutch for drag starts I think you are a bit pessimistic assuming replacement at 15k.
Ours has now done many track days and 23k and as yet shows no sign of failure. (fingers crossed
)
When Our old 4.5 Cerb had gear box trouble at 48k inspection of the clutch plate revealed it was
still only half worn.
Letting the engine and handbrake do the work seems to be the trick.

Hi Guys
Been pondering...
If I were to go for a low mileage Sagaris, I would obviously need to replace the clutch in or around 15k miles to 20k miles.
Whats that likely to cost?
Thanks

As Ray stated, its not a given. Cost will vary but 1000 GBP is a reasonable cost at a dealer. If you are confident that an independant can do the job and set the clutch up properly rather than a dealer, you may shave 10-15% off that.
