Do the panel think that I'll need a service following an evening track experience at Bedford? The car had an engine rebuild about 2000 miles ago and I was told that I had 7000 miles left on rear pads, 5000 miles ago.

Thanks

Probably just needs a wash. That's all my 993 gets after a trackday.

just check the tyres yourself to make sure they are still legal and correctly inflated and that's about it.

You'll get a brake pad warning light when they are due for a change.

If your brake pads are that low (5/7th worn from last report, perhaps 80-90% worn overall?) I would change them before the trackday. Your brakes turn motion into heat, which is dissipated by the brake pad - the lower the volume of pad material, the less heat they'll take before over-heating.

You're going to have to change them anyway, better to do it now than risk ruining your day by having brakes that don't work properly.

Enjoy the day.

Are you going with easytrack this Friday?? If so, see you there(Black GT3 MK1). Don't worry too much about pads if they are the rears. They should last out for the couple of hours on track. Fronts might be a different matter, I would definitely change those if 70% worn.

Not easytrack, Bedford on Tuesday evening. I think it's the rears low, so might just risk it.

Shouldnt need anything.

I usually do an oil and filter change after every 2-3 trackdays but I use Silkolene Pro which lasts longer under track conditions anyway.
