Hello all,

Looks like I need to buy several new sat navs (to be issued to our breakdown guys). How much should I be looking to spend just to get the guy from point A to point B (no need for bluetooth, cameras etc). Would around £150 be sufficient or is the actual mapping ability better on a system costing over £200?

TOMTOM one is about ~£150...after that you probably get more and more bits you'll hardly use.

I am looking presently, and managed to talk myself from TOMTOM one uk (~£150) into the TOMTOM ONE Europe (£185) just cos I could get a £20 case chucked in for free (missing on TOMTOM one GB)....and then thought...mmm for a few ££ more I can get the new XL version.. and then for a few ££ more the XL europe version..and then mmmm maybe the new TOMTOM 520 with map sharing means no updates, and then the TOMTOM 720 is only a wee bit more... so end up looking at £307 + then need a case...

So then think... how the hell did I double my budget ?...

... though still fancy the TOMTOM 720 and will probably get that just as I want one... no way to justify the extra ££ though..
