Max Power Project XS (1989 purple wide arch 320i)?

Sorry to gate-crash your forum guys.
I am on the hunt for a BMW.
The car in question was the project car for Max Power magazine that was built and given away in about 1993.
The car is a 320i with a wide arch kit - and is purple with a chequered rear end.

I realise its not to everyones taste, but for centimental reasons, I wouldn't mind tracking down the car and making the currect owner an offer.
I did track it down 3 years ago and it was in south west Ireland somewhere around Cork but the owner wouldn't part with it.
Anyone know of its whereabouts now please?

'twas a nice car although i liked "project thunder" more (the citrene yellow lotus carlton lookey-likey gsi 3000 which got written off by its winner) i haven't read max power for many years since they did an orange vw corrado, do they still do project cars?

The info above that the tax ran out in October 2006 I also got off the DVLA web site.
The car was indeed up for sale a couple of years ago on ebay.
I have herd from a couple of people it looked a sorry state. It was then bought by a young lad who could not afford the insurance but would not sell it to me all the same. This was in September 2005. It was originally won by a guy called Steve who worked in the local car accessary shop in my ex home town of Birkenhead, wirral. I saw the car around all the time and thought to myself "one day, I'll own it. One day..."
If I can find it, I'll quite happily sell the TVR I currently have as a toy to pay for it.
I didn't like project thunder all that much. Great ICE system and it was ironic that it ended up being trashed into the front window of a music shop, but it was only a Carlton with a badly fitted Lotus carlton body kit and horid yellow paint
The Orange wide-arch VW Corrado was at the NEC motor show in about 1998. I went in my first year at uni. It looked the mutts nuts in the flesh.
I haven't read max power now for several years. I don't know if they still do project cars?
