WHOA! So this is like a V-MAX, but without having to go all the way down south to Brunters?

How long is the runway?
How do I book?
How limited are the spaces?
What are the noise limits?
Anyone got a postcode and phone number for the place?
Whats the weather going to be like?
If its wet, can you still run, or do they call it off?
They appear to be using the main runway, which is about 3000m.

Turn up on the day and register on a first come first served basis.

Runs from 10.20 till 5.

Noise Limits for the airfield, well maclaren can still play there...although not sure of straighliners own rules.

The place is elvinton airfield, so the postcode is YO41 4AU( follow signs for yorkshire air museum)

The will still go if not lots of standing water.

(Just had a look as I may go if can get my suspension sorted this sat)

I believe elvington has a 102db noise limit these days.

Just checked and it seems they've lowered it to 99db.
http://www.trackdays.co.uk/track-days/elvington.ht...

I'd doubt a decatted tiv would pass to be honest knowing how loud they can be, but I'm not really the man to ask.

We had a trackday there a while back and they were monitoring lots of the cars before letting them out, with one or two not being permissable, most notably a 200sx running a V8 and barely silenced exhaust.
These are japanese cars running the usual japanese aftermarket exhausts which aren't tame if you need something for comparison, but I'd try and get it checked before going to make sure, as well as giving them a bell and confirming the db limit.

I was there on Sunday and was told they had special permission to go up to 102 db from 99 db. My standard TVR T350C was recorded at 100 db. People who failed the 102 db limit were made to return to the paddock and "adjust" their exhaust and then they all passed ........

The trackday organiser told us that £25 of each of our entry fees, was going towards a fund to support Elvington's future legal battles with neighbours about noise.

Leigh, if it costs to watch you might as well give it a blast down the runway. We could start the 'PH Northern One Milers Club'.idea
