My RS has a cat by-pass, Cargraphic sport twin-outlet stainless backbox and a G-pipe.

At tickover the sound is a deep burble - almost flat 6 meets V8. It's louder than standard but not really noisy (doesn't upset the neighbours) - loud in a Ducatti sort of way (if you see what I mean).

Under acceleration on an A road I've been told by a friend following it is very loud, sounds great, very angry, and on the over-run pops flames out of the exhaust tips. And yes - it's very, very LOUD.

If you fit the same you can kiss goodbye to trackdays - mine had a reading of 109dba left side, 111dba right side at Castle Combe. I still have the original RS exhaust though in case the car goes on track.

Where are you in the Uk. If you're near Gloucestershire feel free to pop-in and hear it sometime.

Edited to say I've just noticed you're in Ireland. If I start the car in the garage on Friday at 7pm, rev it to 7,000rpm, and you open an east-facing window in your house you'll probably hear it!
