I'm pondering getting Y40 RLY but I think I might regret it. The owl is cool though. £499 from DVLA.

I don't get the whole thing really, M88ARO doesn't spell Monaro any more the AMO4ARO does. "A Monaro" isn't possible to make up with the current british make up of letters and numbers. Not really sure why yours should be worth that much more Alan.

Not a pop just never really understood all these "It says XYZ" when it quite clearly has in the examples above a 4 instead of an N and 88 instead of ON.

That said I went out and got a 500VXR numberplate

Don't think mine is worth anything really but at least it more or less says A MONARO - shame I had to put the spacing back to what it should be.

The VXR plates are quite good as is W3NKR - really made me laugh when I saw it.

M88ARO is mine, and I don't really get the critism. The reason its worth more than 'AMO4ARO' is easy, you don't have to take as many liberties with the spacing. Pushing the rules a bit maybe, but not breaking them in such an obvious way.

The price is based on what I have been told, as I have a friend who used to work in the business who guessed £1 to £1.2k, but with a small market it is whatever anyone would pay, and to be fair-I don't know what its worth in reality so open to offers. If I don't get any I sell it for less.

The reason I don't want to use it myself is simple, when I started looking I was thinking an O4 CV8 in blue or black. What I got was a bright red VXR with the usual VXR body bits and Wortec exhaust that sounds like thunder. Its 'in yer face' enough already and a personalised reg would be even more over the top.

As for decent reg's for the money, if anyone wants it V8 VRX is still at the DVLA at £399. Doesn't work if you study it, but great at first glance. Probably works best on a VXR8 though.
