Booked in for an evening track day - looks like it could be wet, should I ride? Not really sure what to do as I low sided at Snetterton last year and it was dry as a bone!

Snetterton is a pig in the wet IMHO. Even with wets on the tigcraft I used to have difficulty getting any sort of confidence there.

But I did a drying track there on the blade last year and it didn't seem as bad as I remember. Got a huge slide/wiggle on a little damp puddle bit not far from the start line when I was still leaned slightly from Russels which was a bit scary.

Snet can be slippery, but if you ride within your limits you should be fine, plus it's good practice to get a few wet laps in.

I raced there a few weeks ago (in the car) in the wet and loved it. As long as you brake more gently and are carefull with the throttle, you should be fine.

You'll probably find that after your low sider you'll be a tad more carefull anyway wink

I low sided a KTM on a supermoto day but got straight back on and was OK. The trick is to dive straight back in, otherwise you'll always be nervous of it happening again smile

Hi mate, it's just the wallet that wouldn't withstand another £1000 bill! Yeah, thinking I will go there and just cruise round taking it easy... I have my 2 yr old cleaning my leathers as we speak so cannot let her hard work go to waste!

Don't see the real issue with riding in the wet. In fact, last time at Cadwell I was quite looking forward to it as its not often I get the chance to ride in wet conditions. I can't understand people not going out in these conditions & waiting for it to dry out as how do they expect to learn ?

As others have said, just take it easy to start with & build up your pace progressively.

What tyres you on ? Are you riding there & back ? If not, bang on some wets as they are amazing yes

Hi hobo, Diablo Corsa III's... Riding there - not sorted track fairing which is why I'm worried about putting the bike in the gravel !

Well at least you've got tyres on that are road biased & therefore should be ok at dispersing water.

Just take it steady.

Just relax & enjoy it...gentle everything...& don`t get sucked into riding someone elses pace if your mind is not yet at that gear...
Really enjoyable actually...unlike most dry trackdays...you have more time to take everything in than the hussle & bussle of dry weather scratching...
