Well I've only had my car two weeks and someone from my work scratched the rear wheel arch (10 Inch scratch). He is putting it through his insurance. My car is chameleon green and I was wondering if they can touch it up or will a respray be needed?

Also, can anyone recommend any decent garages near Hemel hempstead?

Thank you
Karl

It does depend upon the depth of the scratch and the colour. An airbrush if not too deep will do the job, with a clearcoat seal.....if not it will be a more major job. What is the car?

Your profile says current car is a TVR - neither of my mixing systems finds an exact match on a manufacturer colour name of "Chameleon Green" - but a quick google image search comes uo with one of the Reflex/Chromalusion/etc colours that actually changes completely according to angle (blue to green)?

If so, it's not good news, as the ability of these colours to be repaired with a localised area repair is EXTREMELY limited...

Give us a bit more info if you can, including the paint code stamped into the car, and maybe some digital photos? We'll be able to be of more help then.

Thank you for the info. It's a TVR T350C with the Chameleon Green paint. Like you said it changes from blue to green. I took the car to several garages yesterday and they both said a full rear end respray is needed. I'm quite happy with this as the lacquer by the rear windows is flaking slightly.

Thanks for you help!
