In your opinion (the collective), is it better to have plus adaptives or minus adaptives (0 would not be in the equation).

What are the symptoms of high minus or high plus adaptives ?

What are the cures for high minus or high plus adaptives ?

Experts and tinkerers equally welcome... thumbup

The pluses and minuses (are they the right words?) are how much the ecu has to adjust the fuel mixture away from the fixed mixture map it has on its ecu chip, so up or down it shouldn't matter, as long as it's not too much.
To make them as close to zero as possible is all in the setup of air flow, throttle pots and throttle linkage. Start from the begining and make everything right and adaptives will be as good as they can get.smile

Which way round is it then?

Am I right in thinking that the ECU is trimming the mix by 30% if adaptives are showing -30 (ie overfuelling is occurring) and that the ECU is adding 30% if the adaptives are showing +30 (not enough fuel)?
