I keep forgetting to post about this but I'm here now.

We were driving home the other week and saw a 60's red car sporting race decals and the number 24 a couple of months ago (May I think as the weather was good). When we got to the roundabout where it was doing a 180 to go from the south bound to the north bound side of the A1 at the Sandy roundabout we saw it was a P4 Ferrari.

I was all over too quick to see the details, and I've never seen #24 in the flesh to know how it compared, but it did sound the part...

Now, I seriously, seriously, doubt that this is THE #24 P4, but I thought some people on here may know a bit more about it?

Replica.

There are no road registered P 4's. There is a road registered P 3/4 and a 412P (0846 and 0854) but they are in the US.

Could well have been the same car! I just happened to be using the A1 for a change (I normally use the backroads) and saw it. If I'd have been driving, I'd have played all day long smile

I didn't think it could have been a real P4 TBH, but you never know, stanger things and all that smile

I've seen a couple of Ferrari around that way recently with decals and numbers heading south - a Testicle-roaster, F355 and a 308 all red, all stickered up. This was well before Le Mans and if they were racing, must have just left Bedford, taking an odd route back from Snetterton, or heading to Brands...
I'll have to ask Clive tomorrow if he knows why they'd be about.

Thanks for the info.
I think I have just realised who you are... Thanks for making the effort at Goodwood it was amazing to see the car bow

YellowTR - I can't see that at the mo as I'm not a member so I'll join later and have a look.

ETA - Oops! I'm on the other half's laptop - this is Dave (honest guv')!
