Hello chaps, thought I would pop by and say hello as have an Ultima on my possible hitlist for early next year (2nd hand as I really couldn't build one myself). However have yet to sit in one and wonder what the internal dimensions are really like, the canopy makes it look like it might be mighty snug but then the lower areas in pics look generous with no transmission tunnel etc to deal with. Basically I am still carrying some winter weight (from the winter of about 1998 that is) and come in at about ..er ...[whisper]18 stone [/whisper]and 6ft. Currently running about in Cerbera which is fine.

I know a couple of you chaps are also coming up to Fighting Torque for the runway drag thing, any chance I could pester you up there for a sit in and little nose around.

Cheers peeps, hope to join the fold soon (if I can feckin fit).

Go crazy, knock yourself out.

BTW - can you fit in a Caterham? If you can, an Ultima is a doddle!

Touching Cloth you will be fine.

I will bring mine to one of the FB5K meets at the ACE if you want to try it out. I think Ultima have a factory open day around Auguest time also.

get the dropped floor option

i am 6' 4 1/2"

and we had to drop the floor to get me in

also you can get diffrent seats

i have a sparco XL (Xtra Lard Arse)

although they do a bigger seat for larger arses than mine

i can only assume it is american market only

You sit corrected. The only seat Sparco makes strictly for the American market has an enlarged 'nad area. wink

Well sounds like a few options available and a also a few current owners carrying some payload biggrin

SimonMaidenhead you must be very local (unless your surname is actually Maidenhead ) as that is where I am also - if you are heading up to FT also (which I think you are) then we should maybe arrange a little convoy biggrin

Del shout Do it yes
