I've got a new xbox 360 and wouyld like to put it online. If i connect an old wireless router via the ethernet port the connection tester recognizes it but fails on DNS as i have not connected it to the network at this point however when i try to put the wireless settings it the setup menu i can't because it's greyed out how can i get it to show (the green link light is on by the way).

Thanks

Woody

Thats because the wireless settings are there for a USB attached wireless adapter (MS only)

You need to get into the settings for the old wireless router and get it to connect to the "new" wireless router.
You 360 is connected via the ethernet cable so no point in looking at the 360's wireless settings.
