Keep up ringram...

I have it on good authority that this will be coming officially to the UK, but it won't be cheap - a S/C will offer far better bang for buck.

So everyone that's ordered the current model pleased they rushed to get one - imagine one of these babies with twin turbos or supercharger fitted in that nice purple colour they said they'd offer next year.

I think I read that they are only making 100 of these, and with a price around $120K? Can't see many (if any) of those going to England... I think they have alloted some to NZ.

HSV Clubsport R8: $63k -> £35k (for VXR8)
LS7 version: $120k -> £65k+ ?

I don't think there will be a big rush, given the cost effectiveness of a S/C LS2.

Regarding LS7 forced induction, in the LS7 version apparently the torque limiting electronics will be switched on anyway, and Walkinshaw bloke told me yesterday that they wouldn't push the VXR8 S/C past 540bhp as they didn't want the drivetrain buggered under warranty. This suggests the drivetrain is the weakest link, not the engine.
