reccomendations-ps3 games

just got me a ps3. v happy, but want some more games. i have resistance-fall of men, love it.
a motocross game,good.

any reccomendations? i like shooter games, driving games, action games./
i hate paying the money to be dissapointed by crap ones lol.

Seriously i know of 3 people who have got them (im a student all we do is play computer games) and only 1 will now defend it!

Is there any games that is grabbing people, there hasnt been much noise coming from sony since its launch?

Lets see... There is John Woo's Stranglehold coming in September (with a copy of Hard Boiled on the Blu-Ray disc) and that's about it on the immediate horizon, that will certainly be my first PS3 purchase and I've had mine since launch.

I bought one too and am very pleased with it. I'd say right now theres not a lot on offer apart from motorstorm and resistance but within a month the decent games are going to start to filter through.
these are being released between now and the end of Oct and may be worth a look.

OT: surely Killzone2 and the Getaway won't be out before October? will they?

I've read that the WarHawk demo went down well, I assume the full thing will be available for download soon, not sure how mych it'll cost though.

Also people are harping on about Stardust HD (Astriods?) which is only a few £'s from the PS network.

stardust is good fun and cheap. your probably right about killzone and getaway being delayed

The F1 game for it was pretty good, well about as good as you can get for ps3 right now.

Just got my PS3 today, and OMG

I got just the one game so far, Virtua Tennis 3 - seems pretty good so far, but i don't know how it compares to others.

Yay ! I've joined the the PS3 club !

Just goes to show that there's always a positive side to being made redundant.....

I got;

F1 - very good
Oblivion - also good
Resistance - seems good, havn't played it much yet
Rainbow 6 - also seems good, but again, havn't played it much yet !

Can't wait for the following;

Assasin's Creed
Gran Turismo 5 (you can download the demo for free from Playstaion Store, by the way....)
Devil May Cry 4
Colin McRae: Dirt
NFS Pro Street
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
The Wheelman (mainly because my little MX5 features in the engine noises ! )

There are many more in the pipeline that look fantastic too !

Yup, it's shockingly good. Watching normal DVDs is a bit of a let down now.

As regards to games, I can wholeheartedly recommend:

Resistance fall of man - brilliant online
Forumla 1 - amazing graphics
Oblivion - If you're not careful, you'll never work again. This game is tremendously addictive! I had to go on holiday to break its hold.

just read on ign that were to get gt5 prologue this year. I know its not the full game but it will feature full online racing which is great news. Im guessing free or very cheap download.

MoH has this as a demo and can't stop playing it.
