Hi Guys. My new R400 arrives next week. I'm going to get a few miles on using the car 'as it comes' but then want to get it set up properly. Bit out of the Caterham loop these days so can anyone recommend who to go to? Hampshire/South idealy but not critical.

Cheers

Pugs.

Most of the Caterham race teams that run C400's in the Superlight or Eurocup series should be able to do a pretty good job for you, no doubt there are others too.

e.g. Hyperion, Colards, Parkers, Taylors, Freestyle, etc

Colards in Horsham is probably the nearest to you, Clive Richards is the boss

or Hyperion in Essex - speak to Steve Hindle or Dave Epstein (they run my CSR so they always get my vote !)
link here http://www.hyperionmotorsport.co.uk/

Team Parker are in Leicester so maybe not convenient

Also Gary May at Freestyle near Brands is excellent at set up

Also Fauldsport! http://www.fauldsport.com. They run a race C400 and also had a new Duratec R400 in there last night. Has been looking after my car and vastly improved the setup, but also more importantly does all the extra little things that come with experience of fixing them for years.

Extra convenient from my point of view since I can drop my car off after work at any time of night pretty much smile

Thanks guys - quite a few names that I remember from old! Think I've raced against Clive Richards and def. raced against Magnus Laird way back when before he set up Hyperion! God I'm an old fart - when did that happen?

Posted on the other thread Pugs, but add Aryliam to the mix.

My car's currently in the car of Dave at Hyperion.

Have had good experience with Ratrace previously also, but it was a while ago (I'm sure Mark's still the gent he's always been).

Oh dear...

I've not used them for a good few years now. So perhaps things have deteriorated?

Cheers Murph - Clive (Aryliam) looks after our Radical - top bloke and top of my list - but thought I'd ask who else was out there.

Pugsey, OFR is a club of race drivers, ex-drivers & enthusiasts who have reached the age of 50 (there is an associate membership arrangement for those who are nearly there!). The club organises a range of social events, eg day out at Brooklands, clay shoot, track days, etc. and a very decent (and liquid) dinner/AGM in Calais in November to give members an excuse to hit the hypermarkets for cheap(er) booze for Xmas. It used to organise races but hasn't done so recently due to the widely diverse range of cars that members run - not possible to make a decent grid of fairly matched cars. The club still runs an informal championship based on members results in other series during the year + a few awards for anythging else that might be entertaining . Stirling Moss is our honorary president.

Are you prepared to admit whether you qualify? smile

Sadly, Andy, I've spoken to a lot of people and it would appear that we may have been lucky in our experiences with Mark...who was nothing other than a gent to us both, I hasten to add!
