Being new to speed 6 ownership I am wondering about the oil pressure expected from this engine.

What is the normal PSi on tick over with a fully warm engine ? seems much lower the the Cerbera, this may well be as a result of the engine specifcation but I would like some idea of what is the norm.

Thanks in advance

Mines about 15psi I think - if it's really warm, it might drop down to nearer the 10-11 mark.

also depends on what your tickover is set to, and if your sensor is working well..

Tick over is at about 7.5 rpm, which seems slow but she idles lovely at those revs, not sure about the sensor perhaps I should get it changed to be sure.

Oil pressue at those revs with a hot engine is between 8 and 10 psi.

The car has only done 3k miles should the sensor require changing over that amount of miles ?

The car is going in to have a sports exhaust fitted next week perhaps I should use the opportunity to get the sensor changes.

Apparently, according to my local TVR dealer, the oil pressure for a fully warmed up Speed 6 engine should be approximately 10 psi per thousand rpm.
