Guys,

Haven't been in the car for about a week, and thought I'd take it to work after lunch being a Friday 'an all. Got to work, shut the door, and the drivers window started having a fit. Just the travel to get round the softop. Got in, started her up, shut the door, and the window sorted itself out. Got out, tried the central locking, got beeped at, and wouldn't lock. tried to lock the door manually, and the window started again, and the passanger door wouldn't lock.

Any suggestions ???

Mark.

Sounds dumb, but a low battery could cause that.

Take it out for a good blast for a couple of hours to get some charge back into it.

I guess that's not as dumb as it sounds. Thinking about it, it's probably only been out 2 or 3 times in the last month or so, and only up the road, so I guess it's a possibility...

Any other takers ??

Sound very familiar to symptoms of a low battery, I always leave mine on a trickle charger when parked up. Otherwise I usually have a flat battery when I want to take for a run.

ok, definitely not just low battery, ( didn't notice before ) but the interior light and door lights stay on when the doors are closed. I'm thinking there must be a switch somewhere to detect when the door are shut...

I still think the most probable cause is the battery. So many of the systems rely on having enough juice in the battery (even when switched off & locked), that it could easily be throwing a wobbly (note the technical terminology here)

If you have only used it on short runs recently, there is a very good chance that the battery is below the minimum thresholds required for everything to work properly. Cure - give the car a looooong run.

Well bugger me sideways with a cactus. Took her out for a good long drive, along some wonderful roads, came back, shut the door, the window went up, and I locked the car. Fantastic !!

Cheers Guys,

Mark.

- better get that fixed else it will go flat again .. or turn off the interior lights full-stop.
