MAN that's gonna MURDER residuals on the V10.....

Fvck me. Get rid of your V10s boys!

Imagine a cheaper V8 Gallardo with an Audi engine and a clutch which lasts 70k miles instead of one made of chocolate. I'd buy one in an instant!

Not sure about this.

I heard that Audi were getting the V10 for the R8 but only when the Gallardo was getting an uprated version of that engine to create some distance between the two product lines. Maybe that was what was at the Ring?

Wasn't there another thread on this recently that said the car was actually running an Audi V10 bi-turbo with close to 600bhp...?? The V8 being a total red herring..

Let me give you a teaser. The factory's entire Gallardo line will be closed next May. They won't even be building Spyders. Only one reason why this would happen. 1st Prize is a night out with Jonny. 2nd Prize is two nights out with Jonny. laugh

And forget the notion of a V8. If Lamborghini extend their product line they will have to farm manufacturing out to another site (anyone else remember the leading question in the customer survey last year?). They're flat out at Sant'Agata and couldn't build any more cars if they wanted to.

Does the answer involve a certain audi being a bit of a test mule for some of the parts for a newly revised model perchance?

I heard a rumour that a delay in an official announcement is due to thinking up a suitably unpronouncable silly name for the car....biggrin
