I have just changed the alternator on my 4.5 cerb, but due to new alternator cage being slightly bigger (a few mm), the new one sits slightly higher on the mounting bracket. As a consequence the old belt is now too short. I need a belt with an outside dia of 460mm.

Anyone got any ideas where I could get a non standard belt from? Original belt is 440mm.

I will try TVR Car Parts / TVR Power / TCS in the morning in the hope they are open on a saturday.

Cheers

Iain

Ian - As long as you know the sizes your after you'll probably have more luck searching Google or Yellow pages for a Belt specialist, believe it or not they do exist.

Cheers. That was another thought i had. smile The last resort is to grind the offending part of the alternator and use the original belt mad
