Just got the griff back from sevice from dulfords and every time I put my foot on the accelerator I get a high pitch squeel from under the bonnet, put my foot on the clutch and it goes away. Don't realy want to drive 1.20hrs up the road if it is something minor.

Anybody have a guess what it could be.

Sounds like the alternator belt is slipping..assuming you have a preserp.
If you have a serp it may be the belt tensioner or alternator bearings.

It only does it when accelerating once car is up to the speed which the position of accelerator is making you go to it then stops ????

You didn't say whether you have a serp or preserp.
Have you tried blipping the throttle with your head under the bonnet to locate where its coming from?

If this is happening in nuteral, then it's possibly the clutch release bearing. Why don't you ask Dulfords?

1997 serp engine, yes it does it in nuteral stopped or moving so it can;t be clutch, or anything whilst you are moving, I have stuck my head under the bonnet, and seem to be coming from drivers side fwd end but would not put money on it, so much noise, possibly under the engine
