ello every body peeps, do many of you guys maintain and repair your own cars?
im after a cerb in the not to distant future.i have owned and worked on my m100 elan for 5 years and have found the lec site invaluable when it comes to keeping the wee swine running and making it faster and faster. are all cerbs garage queens that you have some wee man look after at £80 an hour?

if i knew a good proportion of you'se get your hands dirty of a weekend it would sway me.

cheers in advance, stevo.

oh yes yes you'll find most of the guys and girls on here like to get their hands dirty.

Even the garage queens have been turned into grease monkeys hehe

just take a look at some of the threads on here and you'll see.

You have to do it yourself!
I think it's one of the best bits of cerb ownership, what other "modern" super car can you get a cd software for and plug in you're own computer, to tune it up? The rest of the car is fairly basic stuff.biggrin

Welcome mate. Do a search on buying guide or something like that - you're sure to find something. Alternatively, just step back through the pages - we have people every other day asking advice on buying & quite often there are known cars for sale which are probably the ones to get...
Also, if you haven't already, get yourself a testdrive & you'll ask no more questions until its on your drive hehe

I haven't done anything mechanically for 12 or so years now. I guess it's a confidence thing and I'll just have to take the plunge at some point smile

I do 98% of the work myself, only a few things I'll take it in to get done.
And that's only cos I don't have the equipment to do it myself.
