Gearbox selection problems

I have the old Rover SD1 first & second gear selection problems.. I beleive that changing the fluid for ATF fluid is the cure. Has anyone elae done this?

On axle stands, flush & run the box with 50/50 mix of ATF & White Spirit. Drain & repeat. Drain & refil with Mobil 1 0w-40 or Castrol RS 5w-40 & a dose of Molyslip gearbox additive. Prepare to be amazed! Repeat every 4 years.

i put castrol taf x in mine its a full synth oil and is req by castrol for raceing in the lt75 box
