With a lot of help from Ringram I finally took the plunge and upgraded my OS to an EFILive custom runnin the 2004 HSV Clubsport OL map. A few tweaks to the tables and lot more logging to make sure everything is ok but the car pulls a hell of a lot stronger than before. I do need to fine tune the fueling but it seems pretty good but feels so strong.

Ditched LTFT and even STFT so its semi-OL however, I am having to currently monitor mixture by monitoring the O2 voltages (eventually going wideband)

I have to say if you like to learn about your kit, EFILive+their forum+ringram is money well spent.

Of course this time next week I'll be searching for a replacement engine knowing my luck but so far I'm learning so much more about how the car works, the fuelling and most of all I can feel it in the seat of my pants.

Be interesting to get down to Surrey RR to do a comparison with my last run there and to check my mixture out whilst I save for the widebands. But to anyone thinking whether or not to get efilive, I'm singing it and their praises.

.. I thought you might like that tune. Did you log any KR? Its stock HSV tune so might need a little tweaking to suit. Actually the HSV auto timing table is a little less aggressive than the manual one and might be a good candidate for a copy/paste action if you find any KR. But in general the power from the 285kw hsv tune is hard to beat.

I had very little knock, same as before but the timing is, as you said, aggressive - certainly the advance is dancing all over the place whereas before it was smooth.

I decided to do the semi-open loop option.

Oh and I made a boo boo, I enteted the afr figures in lambda mode not equiv - that makes for interesting results!

thats a fantastic price then!

I first bought the scan only then the upgrade to tune.I got the upgrade direct from the supplier as Ringram was on holiday

to get to widebands and a tune version of efilive 2 that sound like a good deal!

Tisk, tisk, should have emailed as you would have been able to get something similar here.
Once VAT is added on top of duty and shipping you will be over £600.

The comments for your order are Mr. Sanders,

Unfortunately I just realized that you are located in the UK. The paypal e-check shows as ineligible for credit protection. Due to this we will be unable to process your order. You may contact sales@efilive.eu or http://www.efilive.eu/ and Richard will be glad to finish your order. Once the e-check is clear I will immediately refund your order 100%. Sorry for any confusion.

Thanks

Chad Rose

Black box? Do you mean data logging without the laptop?

Logging and flashing actually.
But you are right, its not here quite yet. Software upgrade when it is though, no cost addition.

oooh so we'll be able to put the tune onto the v2, then upload it without the PC, then log?

I know they said they have it working but waiting for the development of the next software or something, a new software architecture?

What is the onboard logging capability? Is it possible to increase it with say a larger sd card?
