Which Satnav avoids messy wires in car ?

I am happy to charge up my satnav in the house but which satnav systems allows you to pre-charge the system (so no plugging into the cigaratte lighter etc). And how long does the power last normally ?

In response to your two questions:

1) most,

2) not long enough.

Garmin 310 / 360 claim "up to 8 hours" (which is better than most). I think they mean the battery lasts 8 hours if you don't turn it on.

Anyone know of a GPS that has replaceable batteries so I can carry a spare, charged, one?
