A road trip from Brighton to somewhere in Spain this august. Is anyone else going? We'll be attempting it in my mates Alfa 75 and probably completing the journey on the back of a low loader. Its a lovely motor but has some gremlins soon to be exacerbated with a set of wild cams smile It'll be fun while it lasts.

Sorry to bump this ancient thread, but me and a few mates are thinking of doing the Student Brakeaway 2008. Just wondering if anyone else is doing it?

I did it in 2006, just saw this post and looked at the route for 2008. Might do it again, just fired off an email to the organiser to check if the TVR as a charriot is 'in keeping with the event'.

It was a great laugh when I did it in 2006, so if you are thinking about it then i'd say go for it 100%.

I would love to do it this year, but getting insurance is an annoyance. Seems most temporary insurers won't allow under 21 year olds to drive abroad frown Anyone know one that will?
Got a Pug 406 1.9 TD as an idea for a car to use.

Cheers

I'm looking into it for when i'm eighteen. Few years to go though and you need a driver over 21 as well i believe. It's really cheap to enter though great value for money. I guess its the car and insurance which cost a bomb though.
