Having squeezed myself across (so to speak)the back seats of a TT for 45 min I'd like to know how they compare to those in a 944? Are the TT's larger/smaller? any info would be great.
cheers

Don't know about the TT but the 944 rear seats are divided by the transmission tunnel/transaxle. With rear seats folded there is loads of space in the back - I'm even thinking of sleeping in it instead of taking a tent to PistonFest

There isnt that much room, unless you are only 4 foot tall

As for usable seats, they are ok, i have had 4 adults in mine, and will have 3 in it going down to le-mans this year

Well, I have a TT Coupe, and the rear seats are a useful storage space, and suitable only for children, or adults for 5 minute trips to the pub. Long distances are a no-no. This is the only thing that I dont like about the TT - you cant have everything. The reason I have ordered a Mazda Rx-8. Seats 4 adults in comfort.

TT available in September when the RX8 arrives if anyone is interested! Top condition, Uk 225 in Moro Blue!

Managed a 25 mile journey "4 up" in the 44 and boy was it uncomfortable ! Due to a bit of an emergency I had to go and collect my brother 6' 14 st, his freind 6' 16 st and his now ex wife 5'5" 8st, and get them back home. I dont think its recomended driving with your chest 4 inches from the steering wheel !

Ive been waiting ages to say this line-

Yes the 944 rear legroom is Fine- if your name is Douglas Barder but for those with legs it is a bit tight

Appols for awfull spelling and thanks to Mr J Clarkson esq for the gag.

Ok well yes it is tight, but roomer than a similar age 911, fine for kids & Ronnie Corbet, but a pair of 6 ft'ers wont like it much

I have done just that before. My gf and I had a quick trip over to France. When we got off the Ferry it was very late, very dark and very very foggy. So we pulled into a lay-by, popped the seats down to sleep.

A few hours later we woke to find the lay-by is in fact a bus-stop with about a dozen people waiting to go to work watching to crazy English people sleeping through the rear hatch, glad I kept my pants on as I slipped into the drivers seat trying to look cool and drove away with my gf waving at the bemused by-standers.
