Was out having a blatt in the GT2 yesterday, upset a few Gixers in the process.biggrin
Picked up a rear puncture on way home, got back on my drive and tyre was flat as a pancake.

Got on the phone to Steve, who already had a pair of 888s ready for Spa/Ring trip in 10 days.

He drives all the way down from Northampton to Surrey, this morning at 6am, to come and help me out!
Fits 2 brand new 888s, and then took him out for little blatt to bed them in.. evil

Cheers Steve, top man!

Yep, he came to fit new cups on mine on Thursady, tope bloke...

Damn Shame Goldtrack won't let him give tyre support at their trackdays
anymore, he's a rare breed with a commitment to service.

What's stopping him 'parking' up in the paddock and spectating?

Agree Steve is a top chap, I was less than impressed with the treatment from Goldtrack....but understand there has ben a dispensation now, where he is allowed to turn up and fit pre ordered tyres at their trackdays.....I had my last set fitted in the car park at Brands.......more than happy to decide who fits my tyres tks smile

Steve

if you are reading this thread you are a top bloke and there are many of us who will continue to use you. Will make sure I pre-order my rubber wink Your dedication has certainly won a lot of loyalty amongst the GT3 gang. I don't expect you to reply but will see you soon. smileangel

Another clap for Steve. Very happy with the service he provided me recently despite the difficulties he was having that weekend.

I think Steve has had second thoughts since about trying to transform the van into a convertible smile

Can't thank Steve enough for sorting my tyres out in Spa, end of the day when the weather's foul, he's tired, but still managed to change to tyres for me! Hope you get the clutch sorted Steve!

Steve is looking at getting a Nitrogen setup for inflating the tyres. Should save a lot of hassle with bleading air from the tyres, and re inflating.

No it wont. If you set your road pressures to get to circuit you still need to bleed air out to get your required track pressure. When you re-inflate you will add air to the nitrogen and dilute it. After a couple of trackdays you are back to where you started.
