Im not saying its a good thing but I don't think you can single out the British GP because you get celebs etc packing out the grid before every race.

You get celebs at most major occasions, sporting and otherwise. Apart from getting a freebie the aforementioned celebs are also rewarded for turning up.
Do you think Beckham would accept an invitation from Honda unless there was something in it for him?
