A nice little earner

Do the sums and it becomes clear why all the safety camera partnerships are getting Talivans.
I watched one last Saturday on an 'A' road in South Yorkshire. He was sat there for 150 minutes with an average of 15 vehicles per minute passing. 150 x 15 = 2250 vehicles. I'll be conservative and say that just 10 percent (225) were prosecuted for exceeding the 30mph limit. 225 x £60 = £13,500.
Remember, that's just 2.5 hours work and my figures are very conservative. Little wonder they operate 7 days a week for up to 12 hours a day here in South Yorkshire. Of course, they're run by civilians with managers who have targets to meet. A fixed speed camera would take quite a long time to reach these figures I would guess.

well since the time has come for emergencey vehicles to now be targetted as well as civi's (see ambulance thread) we should all club togeather for a van and target police cars and scamera vans.
Make sure its all home office approved and get proper court evidence and it may be possible to prove that an officer was exceeding the speed limit where they shouldnt. Like any major corporation or group they have their fair share of nobends who exceed the speed limit for no reason.
