Bus Lane

Can anyone settle an argument and tell me what the penalty is for driving in a bus lane? I seem to recall that it's a fine and no points however my Mrs reckons its a £60 + 3 point issue.

(Discussion based upon the fact the our route to the city centre seems to have been converted from 100% road to 5% road and 95% bus lane in recent weeks).

My brother got fined for driving in a bus lane, he was in bus lane on a bank holiday monday that was signed as operational Monday to Saturday and therefore Bank Holidays not permitted. Anyway he only got a fine, no points, it was a good while ago so don't remember how much the fine was.

If BiBs deal its a £30 non endorsable FPN or court if you refuse ticket.

Not sure when dealt with by councils via CCTV.
