I was fortunate enough to witness a dark grey RS4 accelerating hard, very hard, away from some traffic lights near Slough the other day.

Do they all have the pure Nascar soundtrack or was it likely this particular car has an aftermarket exhaust? I don't remember them sounding that good on Top Gear or any YouTube vids I've seen.

I had a similar experience following a V8 Vantage from the M4 to A34 on the way to goodwood - to hear him give it all its worth and roar off into the distance...

Surely the first job would be to weld that button "ON"?

I must say I have to floor mine every so often just to hear the sound.
one day though I would like to hear it from outside.

I was in the back garden yesterday and heard my other half come down the road in my S4 Avant with 16 bags of gravel and some huge pot plants in the back, sometimes you just think yes catback Millteks and a 4.2 V8 really are worthwhile, they really do sound impressive.

AND i was being sensible and not doing my usual "qualifying lap". I can normally hear you come home before i see you, and it does sound good!

If I manage to make it to another meet where there is a chance of letting someone have a go I am intending on doing just that but doesn't look like its going to happen for ages. Sorry

Pressing that starter button does make a lovely noise....., it is one of the most impressive engines I've ever experienced.

Mel.

I test drove an S4 Avant the other day. Loved the car, but just thought it was too quiet. How much of an improvement does the Milltek system make - and how much.

Cheers.

As with all things it depend how far you want to go, basic system from standard down pipes back is about £700, add in downpipes and sports cats add about the same again, then you're into re mapping and induction etc. The long and the short of it is if it's just the noise you're after £700 will sort it.
