I think its a type 72.

Any recomendations and best place to buy.

The Bible suggests a 72, as fitted to the Griffith and Chimera. When I needed a new battery last month I went to my local parts place and was told that the 72 has been replaced by an 89, it went something like this;

Me: I'd like a type 72 battery please.
Him: What sort of car is it for mate.
Me: Well, it's a TVR but I don't think....
Him: Yeah we've got TVR listed, what sort is it.
Me: It's a 450 SE.
Him: Naaaah, we aint got that here, is it a Grith....somefink.
Me: No, as I said, it's a 450 SE.
Him: Are you sure that's what it's called, we've got a Charmina.
Me: No, now look, if I could just have a type 72 battery.
Him: OK, but they don't list a 72, it's an 89 now and it's to fit a Shogun.
Me: Fine, I'll have one of them for my Shogun.
Him: (totally missing the point) OK, but it will have to go in your Shogun, it won't fit your TVR.

I hand over £55 and get a new battery for my Shogun (AKA TVR 450SE).

Yes it is an 072.

I bought a Bosch silver or something like that - very tight fit in my 350i - not sure it will ever come out. Definitely has lots of power though.

Ok thanks for that,

I know they take a lot of juice,

I Audi A3 battery would not kick it over with out putting the boost charger on also.

I think the solinod was a bit sticking tho, cos after the 1st time it would with out the boot.

Looks like im off to halfords in my lunch break.
