Hi All,

Am thinking of getting some Zymol products for the TVR, but dunno where the cheapest place to get them is... Any suggestions?

I saw a link somewhere on PH the other day (about 2 weeks ago) for a new site selling Zymol stuff but now I can't find it.

With the current UK/US exchange rate, direct from Zymol.co.uk seems to be a good option, although I'm not sure what their international delivery charges are like - plus I guess if the package gets stopped at customs I could be looking at another 17.5% on top.

So, where should I be looking?

Cheers,
Ropey smile

Swissvax is equal re quality and well worth a closer look. I am not sure if there is any difference re Zymol pricing here in the UK between suppliers but abroad may well be cheaper. What are you looking to buy?

http://www.zdouk.com but I'm not sure what they've got left.

You will save money buying from the states it's just as you say taking shipping and potential duty/VAT into the equation you may not save much with the lower end stuff.

Have a look at Victoria Wax, very highly regarded.

Bugger! ZDOUK sale has finished and the site no longer exists. Ah well.

All pricing for Zymol seems to be the same across the UK - looks like i'll be getting a pricey batch in soon then.

Anyone know if there's much difference in the Carbon and Titanium wax? Baring in mind that i have a black colour TVR which is fibreglass, which should I get? The titanium is £20 more expensive - dunno if it's worth it?!!

Eye of the beholder and all that..

If you are going the Zymol route, get the HD Cleanse as well, most people seem to agree it makes a difference.

Yeah, the HD Cleanse was on the list.

Anyone know the difference between the Detail spray polish and the field glaze? Do they do the same thing? (for those days after washing when you really can't be bothered to do a full cleanse and wax?)

Hi Ropey

Field glaze is more pronounced at adding to the waxed finish of the vehicle and actually adding to and maintaining it. It contains 12% carnauba sap within and is great after wash and dry to finish with. you only need to mist and buff lightly.

Detail spray is more centered around removing light dusting, say from an overnight garage storage or removing finger print etc - useful to have but not essential.

the field glaze is more expensive, however works great and lasts ages. If you invest in HD and a zymol wax/glaze then the field glaze is a great companion.

hope that helps

It would need to be a freebie or 10 at those prices. Even with the 25% extra they are MUCH more expensive than Halfrauds for the Zymol shampoo and cleaner wax.

Was in Halfy tonight - same size bottle (500ml ?) was £5.99.
There's no 25% extra free malarky - that's the default size of the bottle from Zymol.

Another question...

What's the difference between the Auto Wash and the Clear Autobathe? Other than £15!!

The feeling of being fleeced?
Nothing other than the ingredients that constitute it's make up.
I'm guessing some are better than what's in the Auto Wash, and others are more expensive versions of what's in it or are needed to make the Bathe work the way it does.

Its the other people advertising the 25% extra

"Auto Wash 473ml + 25% Extra"

Which would give 591ml for £10. Still much more than Halfrauds.
And as you say 500ml is the standard size bottle so I don't know how they give you 591ml. I suspect this is some poor advertising / maths and they just sell you 25ml "extra" over the advertised 473ml.
In any case in a thread titled "cheapest p;ace to get zymol" those monza people don't deserve a mention.

well thanks for the feedback

fyi the products such as autowash and cleanerwax stocked by halfords are old stock purchased years ago and now sold off cheap hence the prices. they were aimed at the consumers and set to be competative with the other off the shelf products. they never sold well and halfords no longer buy them to sell.

for all other products aimed at the high end of the market then you will find all resellers are offering products at the same price. discounting from authorised sellers does not happen. it is then up to the reseller to throw in other incentives to become more competative. that why i recommended monza as there are offers on the service like free delivery and gifts etc.

i was trying to help and respond to the question asked and be helpfull thats all.

go compare other web prices from authorised resellers and you will see what i mean. If you are wanting cleaner wax and autowash then it is the cheapest at halfords.

you wont be able to buy anything else from zymol there. ~I suppose `i should have asked what specific products were required with hindsight. so sorry about that.

Titanium is recommended for cars which are tracked, go off road or do a lot of motorway miles.

I used it on my Exige and it was great.
