Afternoon all

Just wanted to get some advice on the right methods to clean the carpets in my E38 bimmer, they're "Sands Beige" which is basically a cream colour as is the rest of the interior, but i'm going to go on a frenzied cleaning spree with the car, inside and out, over the weekend (weather permitting...)

the interior look like this:

so, what are the products people have tried and tested and knows will work? is this something i should attempt myself or should i take it to a pro?

your views and opinions are much appreciated!

Thanks

Umar

For the carpets I would get some Meguiars APC ( All Purpose Cleaner ) which you mix with water and then spray onto your carpet. It removes pretty well all footmarks, drink spills etc. When applied leave for a moment or two and then with a damp cloth remove the residue...then allow to air dry and hoover. APC also works well on the headliner, door seals and dashboards / wood etc.

Leather is best cleaned with Liquid Leather (Glyptone). Moisten leather and the use a brush to work the cleanser into the cracks, folds etc. Leave and then wipe away....followed by two coats of conditioner, a few hours apart.

Ohhhh, I want to do mine when I get home too, I've been wondering how to get the mucky marks out of my light coloured carpet.

Is Gliptone good for feeding the leather? The rear head rests in my car are quite hard where the leather has been exposed to the sun, will it soften it up a wee bit?
