Putting my newly refurbed speedo back in tonight switched lights on to check everything working ok before putting dash back on.
Noticed rev counter light had come out so took out RC to push bulb back in and to my horror the rev limiter bulb is not connected!!
Infact it's coiled up tightly as if it's never been fitted and the cars 11 years old.
Can this be fitted if so where?
Its about 1 foot long.
I think it's the rev limiter light at the bottom of the guage.
TVR Build quality or a oversight?rolleyes
Cheers

The ends of the wires where bare, as if it was connected to something, at some stage. But nothing obvious, so i didn't go poking about. biggrin
idea Maybe people disconnect the light because it comes on to early !! biglaugh

I wonder what would drive the bulb, because there's nothing in the ECU or ignition systems to do it. Maybe that's why it is left disconnected as standard? Nothing preventing you from wiring it up to an aftermarket shift light if you want to.

The same tachometer is used in the Cerbera, in which the shift light IS connected. It's not used in the RV8 cars and is left coiled up. I fitted a fan override switch and used the lamp in that circuit to show the fans are manually switched on.
