slow, hanging etc
Discussion
I've noticed fairly regularly I've gone to open a thread or section and it's just hung not doing much at all, figured it was just somehting to do with firefox or my router but yes I've had the same.
Doesn't bother me really, just a minor inconvenience often resolved by clicking another thread which promply opens right away.

Business as usual...
The connection has timed out
The server at www.pistonheads.com is taking too long to respond.
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

The antiflood system stops people submiting too many posts too quickly. The purpose is to stop spammers submitting to all the forums really quickly. Though this does cause a few problems with some quick genuine responses, or suddenly needing to edit a post submitted. We have tried to put the limit at a happy medium, but sometimes it is a little inconvenience.
Update on the Server Migration...
We have nearly finished the Database migration, and over the next two weeks will be building and testing the new super-hamster powered website servers. Then at the beginning of August we will swap over to the new servers and everything will go super fast (thats the plan anyway). This move also involves some other new speedy kit to help with the website too.
Just to keep you informed of timescales
ETA: In simple terms... new hamsters installed in 3 weeks
