Tuscan S 5th gear problems

I have just purchased a Tuscan S (06/07/2007) and although it looks and drives great (well in the dry anyway), I am having problems with selecting 5th gear. Whether driving hard, careful or even simply selecting reverse, I get a major grinding. Is this a common fault? Is it worth getting back in touch with the dealer or is it something you need to live with on the model?
