Heed somone to do a mesurement for me.

Hi Could someone mesure the top of the oil dipstick holder to the screw hole.

As I took the tube out, and not sure how far to push it back in again.

Pref If I could get the mesurement from an Early 400SE.

Come on one of you must have a tape mesure, ruler or depth gauge

Mine has a moulding part way up that does not allow it to be pushed in too far..

and I did mine a few weeks ago and it's tough to get in all the way in - as the Bishop said to the Virgin

20cm on mine. But its a range rover block, assume they are basically the same?

Is that from the rocker cover screw to the top of the tube.

lol at they should all be the same. thats an oximoron with a TVR.

I stuck a bit or wire down the side of the pipe until it touched the block where it screws (assuming it screws) in and marked it at the top of the pipe. Dip stick out.

Edited to add, aprox 65 mm top of pipe to center of the bracket screwed to the cover.

Top of my tube is 53mm above screw in rocker cover and 203mm from block.

The High mark on dip stick is 487mm below top of tube.
The Low mark is 518mm below top of tube.

Thought it best to add that as tube height is relevant to dipstick length.

Cheers, but sadly I am working right through the weekend with no chance of taking time off. The wedge is still sat in the garage waiting for an exhaust as well. Shame on me!
