I don't want to scare you and I take this back if I am wrong but didn't somebody say this was a Cat D on here?

Tim.

The website says its sold !
A 'cheap' cerb is unlikely to be cheap in the long run.
Be prepared for some big bills as the car starts to work out of its system that its been sitting around for 2 yrs. Not sure an inspection will really weed out such ills.

If it was Cat D, the car check (hpi) will show that right?

Nope think this one was fine just short of a small amount of Service History although it has info for the last 2 years.

Think this is the only thread about this car.

There has been another black one up but that was the Matt Black one with a carbon bonnet. That was a Cat C.

I can't find any other reference to this one.

Well if you 'know' otherwise then fair enough but it's a little out of order saying that it's a Cat D if it isn't. It's not really fair on the the seller.

Hands up if it is a Cat D then fair enough and yep a HPi or other history check would show it up, if it was declared. tbh there are enough out there that haven't been it's always good to get a decent inspection done if you are not mechanically minded.

wink

Im not saying its catd, just hope TimJ and cerbielee mean another car, i have bought this cerb, and im having the inspection tomorrow with Rob Ingleby, i think the seller is a real TVR enthousiast and knows his TVRs,so the car should be ok im just enquiring as to whether someone knows it here since it has no history

The HPI check will set you straight. Just be sure you get the full option not the cheap £25 one.

You say you have already purchased the car - and it is being inspected later this week. Shouldn't it be the other way around, inspection then purchase?

Sale pending pass of inspection? Did it with a car recently as we saw it in the rain, refundable deposit upon passing of inspection of bodywork in the dry.

Your 4.5 was the quietest Cerb Ive ever heard Kostas! Standard exhaust and with cats in. You need to get that sorted ASAP dude wink
