How do these ppl do it?
do they use a PC tool and then transfer to Xbox or just use layer after layer to build up pics?

My only creation so far is a feeble attempt a a Herbie lookalike

Layer by layer, slowly making photorealistic images. These people scare me.

yes I think its good what people can do, but completely sad to spend so long just designing a vinyl to go on a car that at the end of the day is going to drive the same as it did before.

One thing I have seen that looked useful to me, on some forums, people are sharing their custom vinyl decals, so people don't have to duplicate effort making the umpteenth iteration of the Gulf logo. If someone of a more artistic orientation wanted to get that going on here, that would be cool.

I spent a couple of hours making the monkey image I have on most of my cars, but that was more for the other halfs kids than me, but of course I had to use it after making it - took ages and well over 100 layers to do...

Funny thing is, once you get used to the paintshop, things can be produced quite quickly.
Ok, so maybe not the photo realistic stuff etc but things like my dirty golf and that lambo
can be done in under half an hour once you get copy pasting and all that jazz biggrin

yes Just as we did with the pistonheads logo. I believe you have a Vaillant rabbit badge wink and I think another person here has an official F1 badge.
I actually have a few unlocked cars due to diligent auction house searches, but mostly these are move the cartoon stuff (Nancy, Silver surfer, Afro Samurai, Nintendo, 997 GT3RS)

I keep meaning to sit down and do another car myself, but either end up racing or going out (or watching Transformers as I did last night smile )

Acquired a copy from Holland on Monday evening - good job too, but not the same watching it on the wee 24" in the apartment here, looks like it would be so much better on the big screen wink
