Took the day off yesterday and went out in the 360. Its been recently Zmoled (Royale) and is totally mint. Headed over to QV who adjusted the gearbox linkeage cables for play. I asked the chief tech to have a drive in the car to ensure that all is well. Mick came back with quite a grin on his face.. He said it was probably the nicest 360 (non CS) that he'd driven- very tight and true. With the gearcghange sorted, the sun shining and the car shiny and loaded up with Omptimax, it was a great drive home.

Now if there were just a way I could fit Mrs and Baby Para in the car I would be happy but as it stands this car is about to become a total garage queen. Head says I'll need to sell it..heart says NO WAY! I think I'd actually shed a tear if it had to be sold but a possible move abraod and a lack of use could just force my hand..and yet this car has to have all the hallmarks of a keeper..totally immacultae, well cared for, the worst of the depreciation all over and a stunning car to drive on special days.

I decided to test drive some baby friendly alternatives. Today it was an XK8- great car but perhaps too refined. The left field could be the new 635d. But none of these are as special and Mrs Para always warned me that once I'd had a Ferrari, there would be no going back....

I'd think l;ong and hard before selling it.

There are too many potential scammers out there. Much better to keep it.

Maybe put over 100k miles on it so you can't sell it :-)

Keep it!!

I find with 2 kids you can never have enough 2 seaters!

Just buy something for the domestic duties, Will26 reccomends a Kia Rio to go with an F360 or Gallardo.....

Need a 2+2 in style... fancy a Ferrari... buy a Scaglietti.

Or buy an everyday set of wheels for the missus + children (and yourself when on parental duties) and keep enjoying the 360.

And what would the 2 extra RON be doing for me then?

I think the point was that you haven't been able to buy Optimax for a few months.

I do have an everyday car but the problem is finding the opportunity to take the 360 out given that we do tend to go out as a family.. We dont have a nanny to leave the baby with.

612-not for me...a 4 seater 599 or 550 would be perfect

I meant V-Max rather than Optimax- its the stuff Shell sell (and appears to be somehow branded with Ferarri logos?)

I bought the car to "get it out of my system"...ie I wanted a Ferrari and knew that when family came along I may not have the opportunity again..so at least I've done it.. The problem is I've now fallen in love with the car...but it will be more as an object of ownership rather than of use.

You have descibed my life!! Welcome to the club.

Except, you don't take your family to work with you so you get to use it then, and then they go to bed and you get to use it then.

Take my case. I have a 4200 (and from Saturday a Gransport... the 4200 goes) as I wanted something sporty, yet with the capability to bring-in my 3 1/2 year old daughter on the back. Expecting family soon, which will make 2 in the back seats. Wifey grins at times, my little one loves the ride (even went with me to a PH meet) and I keep the enjoyment.

Thought of a 612 before buying the Gransport, but thought it was a bit over the roof and prices are still a bit spicy (not all the hit taken) but I was on that route. Gransport provides the compromise between sensible performance and space.

My previous 550 (before the Maser) would have been at odds, so when the family arrived, it was a question of choosing a 2+2.

Work in Central London and havent told work colleagues/clients about the car!

Evening drivers...I wish! I need to move to the countryside and find a job with better work life balance smile Bloody typical..when you cant afford a Ferrari you have time and when you can then you usually dont have time to use it!

Ah, well, that's a good point.

I love visiting London, fantastic fun but I couldn't live or work there, makes me happy to get home to the cundry!
