Carbon Fibre Air Tight air Box.
Discussion
With all honesty, my interest in this carbon fibre air tight air box has almost gone now.
I was interested in it initially, but I don't think they can deliver it, at least for the Tamora. I went down to Dulfords to have it fitted but it did'nt fit, so the base unit had to be returned to the factory for modification to fit over the starter motor. Still have not received any news about it, so I think I'll spend the £800 on my house and not bother about it.

it was over 2 months ago i was enquiring and kept being told next week for about 4 weeks, last i heard 3 weeks ago was that they needed to change the under side of the box, as you say to avoid touching other parts. It would be nice, the "press release" on pistonheads was a bit early me thinks, common sense says product should have been ready and made properly first.

I agree, it's not Dulfords fault, it's the fact that the manufacturer of the part did'nt try it out on a Tamora/T350 first. I assume that the T350 suffers the same fitting problem as does the Tamora.Oh well they better hurry up before my interest completely dies. Is the extra performance worth the wait and money, one wanders

I spoke to the manufacturer and the box was tested on Tuscans (no problem) and we were led to believe the boxes were all the same, but apparently the T350 box has a groove in the bottom section that clears the steering rack, hence the delay in retooling the mould.
Take it from me it's worth the wait.

When will a unit that fits be availble?
Had a look at one fitted yesterday and was dissapointed that it fouled in so many places. It was on a T350, needed work as you say for the steering column, foulded at the back of the bulhead and the bonnet hits it. Not wonderful for something that cost close to a grand.

I was waiting for one to fit my Sagaris but will be keeping the purse strings well tied until I see one the fits and is a reasonably simple installation.
