Hello Martin, the EWP on the GTW is made by an American firm called Metziere and was purchased from Summit, order number; MEZ-WP337.

Many thanks Wayne! How have you found the cooling on your engine? As you know, I have the same engine as yours but with a factory 5 core rad and 11" pacet fans... Hope it will be enough cooling...

Also how do you control the EWP? Is it on continuous or have you got an electronic controller changing the flow with temp?

Cheers,

Mart

Having spoken to Mr Metziere him self, he said never to run the engine without the pump on, as this my cause hot spots in the engine. The pump is rated at over 50 GPM, but thats in free air with no back pressure. The reason it's high is not for flow during running but so you have more pressure in the engine at all times so more pressure means less chance of the water boiling even at well over 100 degrees. Remember your engine will still work at 130 degrees, but if the water is boiling then the cooling at that point in the block is now going way past 130 as the steam will no longer cool the jacket....
If you fitt one then also fitt a high flow stat Mr Gasket is recomended ( and don't be tempted to run without one either as that negates most of the advantages ), and a High pressure Rad cap...

EWP Lesson one....

Cooling is not an issue at all ( as yet that is bearing in mind that it has not had the acid test of sitting in traffic at LeMans on a particularly hot one or anything ) and early indications are good. I am using a Pace ali rad + 2 x 12" uprated fans and a very precise blend of coolant. Everything is controlled by the Motec ECU. One thing in your favour over my situation is that you have an iron block which will run a little cooler than my ali Dart.
