Any of you fine fellows know if it's possible to turn off the seat belt warning chime/buzzer on a Range Rover Sport?

Cheers,

(I appreciate it's there for a reason but then again.... )

Wear your seat belt...wink

In my brief trips through Testbook and T4 I don't recall ever seeing that as an option, so unless the engineers left one of their tricks in place that someone knows about.....

.....but why ruin a perfectly good buzzer, when you could do the right thing and just wear your seatbelt?

Just found this on another forum. It's exactly the same process with the ford I have...

"Key in ignition, turn to switch the electrics on.

Sit in the driver’s seat and put buckle in and out of the buckle lock 9 times within a minute.

After the ninth time, a bong will sound and it's sorted.

Do the reverse to reset!"

The above is correct, depending on the age of the car.

Land Rover changed this on later model years (2006 if memory serves me correctly) and the buzzer can only be reset by a technician using testbook. The light on the dash cannot be turned off, unless you have the pod out and remove the bulb!

Easier to wear the belt methinks.....

Your key in ignition warning has to be turned off using testbook or Autologic,
It is part of the driver settings feature you can select when delivered.

Unfortunately most dealers do not involve their customers at this stage and you get what the technician sets.

if you want to change the many settings available go see your dealer and do not let him charge you for it!!
