Throttle Cable

Been done to death i know but im off the road as of lastnight when
the sodding thing broke on the way home from work. Had to limp home
with a piece of string through the open window.

Anyone know where there might be a 1989 2.9 throttle cable ?

Tried David Gerald - none, TVRCarParts 2 weeks away at least for their
new reworked stock.

Tried to butcher a short term fix lastnight by shortening the outer
cable and giving me some extra inner cable to work with bit no luck
fix wasn't strong enough.

As a short term bodge take one of those screw terminal wire connectors to bits (i.e. take the plastic bit off) then see if you can poke the wire through the pedal and secure it using the connector metal bit with the screws back in.

I'm not sure if the nature of the pedal linkage will let you do this but worth a go.
I know mine snapped (V8) just before I bought it and the owner did a repair with some sort of cable clamp.

One of those companies that most folks will know about already but
just in case it helps.

I got a new throttle cable made by Speedy Cables. I sent in my old
cable they matched it and turned it round in a matter of days.
Fitted perfectly.
