Chequerplate aluminium

Not actually for a kit car but I want to get my hands on some and the only places I have seen it in large quantities are on kit cars and lorries.

I want it to form the bottom of a trailer which was wooden but has rotted through. Does anybody know where I can buy some decent sized sheets?

Bit late but maybe worth a try.

I'm currently working for service metals for the summer. We (should I say we-i've only been working there a fortnight and am not trying to blatently plug the place) have got various branches so you should be able to find one local(ish) to you, and if you like, go down there and have a look -there are various tread paterns as well as 3 or 4 thicknesses. Should be able to cut it to size for you no problem to.
