About to buy this Sagaris... Advice please....

Sagaris in question is the Reflex Purple one for sale at Harrowgate Horseless Carriages... (how do you do links?)


Chances are I am going to be putting a deposit down on this Sagaris today.

Due to work commitments (and the small fact that I am 4 days into a 14 day ban for speeding), I am not able to get up to Harrowgate to see the car... or any other Sagaris for that matter.

Does anyone on here know the history of the car? (R55 OND)

Am I mad to buy a car without seeing it / driving it first? or should it be ok as its one of the later examples with full history etc etc etc...

I've spoke to the salesman and asked for a very detailed description of the car as I am after a pristine example and this is the exact colour and spec that I want.

If I do go for it it will be on the basis of an inspection my myself when I go up to pick the car up... just to make sure it is as described... and if it isn't then I could back out.

Opinions? Advice? History of the car? am I mad?

Sorry, can’t help you with the history of the Reflex Purple SAG. But I know all about the far superior beautiful Chameleon Orange one they have for sale ( It used to be mine )

I’ve seen the Reflex SAG in the flesh and I must admit it does look good (for the visually challenged of course).

Dont know anything about it, try searching the archives under the colour and Sagaris and see what comes up. Great colour though - love it!

whats the buttons/switches next to the gear stick as my dads and 2005 sagaris's dont have them?

They are the Seatbelt warning & MIL lights, they are fitted to LHD European & South African spec Sagaris & Tuscan 2's

yipee iv'e picked my sag up today they are a phenomanal car, I have looked at the purple one at harrogate albeit only briefly as it was out of my price range however it looked stunning, as did wittys orange one, If you really want it i would put a deposit on the understanding it is as good as described, the sales guys seem really fair at harrogate and I think if you weren't happy once you saw the car they would refund your deposit. (But don't quote me on that) Good luck either way.

No it was already spec'd by a South African customer hence the additional warning lights near the handbrake. I originally went in HHC to look at another ex demo SAG, but the brand new Orange beauty took my eye and i had to have it!

I keep thinking i've made a mistake and I should take her back!

No it was already spec'd by a South African customer hence the additional warning lights near the handbrake. I originally went in HHC to look at another ex demo SAG, but the brand new Orange beauty took my eye and i had to have it!
