Daft Newbie question

Am going to wash my new P&J tommorrow (97 400 Starmist Blue) and wondered if there is anything to beware of i.e. the bonnet vents and hood - do i just wash all as any other car? I did see a post where someone put bin bags under the vents but surely that would just move the water somewhere else? Also do I use normal wash on hood?

A regular wash with decent car shampoo (I use meguires) and you'll be fine.

If you are rinsing with a hose just keep the full force of the spray away from the window seals or anywhere else that looks like water can leak through

Re: the roof - you don't want to get this too soapy as it can take an age to rinse the suds off.

I always drive mine back and forwards a couple of times before i dry it off. Otherwise once I polish it water seems to apear from the mirrors, numberplate etc and 'un-does' (is that a real word) all you've done. Welcome to the big daft grin brigade
