Go Molly

Pretty in pink

Here’s Molly Saleen (as in Saleen the Ford tuner) and her pink Mustang named ‘Molly-Pop’.

The pair will be tackling the ‘Great American Run’ that begins on 29th July. The event starts from either Miami or New York and is a six day rolling convoy to Los Angeles complete with hidden stages along the way.

Molly-Pop has been upgraded to 500hp with 475 lbs ft of torque and features Saleen's Watts Link style suspension and a Saleen aero kit.

Molly comments: “I have been involved with the family business my whole life. I’ve also attended a number of racing schools along the west coast and driven everything from karts to high performance street cars.”

“The Molly-Pop is like a sour candy,” says Molly. “It looks sweet and inviting on the outside, but once you get mixed up with it, you’re sorry you ever did.”

We’re not saying anything.

The overall winner of the rally (they’re very keen to stress it’s not a race) will leave with a nice, round $1,000,000 and a limited edition, 550bhp Saleen ‘Bad Boy’ Mustang.

God I hate girls with pink cars and even worse, I hate people who name their cars!! Also, why do the yanks have to call their road cars "street" cars!? Sounds so stupid!

Why do the American's give there cars silly names? I had a browse on Car Domain the other day and a lot of the modified cars have names!

A Mustang's not your average little girl car is it?! Pink must be the most un-muscle car colour going!

Has she got a high power Maglite torch in her pants or does light shine out of her bottom naturally?

I think that's probably the point.

That car screams 'try it on with me', and not only is the car a beast, I bet she knows a thing or two about driving...and she's likely to embarass a few people who should know better...

I think the $10,000 entry fee is worth it just to race, sorry - rally with her.

I was going to post something witty, with an erudite double entendre between the overlapping domains of automotive technology and feminine wiles.

Instead I'll just......

Molly-Pop has been upgraded with extra vanity mirrors, non-stop driver torque and now features Saleen's Ceramic Straightners as standard. Watts Lipstick style applicator and a softer suspension prevents a lippy accident. Saleen also fitted a hairo styling kit to allow wind in the hair without the parlour time whilst on the move.

A spokesman recently said, "We've missed this gem of an untapped market - in the future all Saleen models will be renamed to Salon, and will also feature heated rollers and a pop-out mascara tray.

Fast is soooo yesterday - the new fast is Slow and well presented
